Death Gods in the Jazz Age - Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

I finished this book last night and It's ending left me so happy! This book is set in such a unique and different setting and it had me hocked the whole way. In some sense it is like a Mayan Percy Jackson, except better. Heads upper there is going to be some minor spoilers below. 

First Impression - The Eye of the World (150 pages in)

For the last few months a couple of my friends have really been excited about The Wheel of Time TV series that has come out on Amazon. I was aware that they had enjoyed The Wheel of Time but I had never gotten around to this series... until now. And since the first book is huge I wanted to write my impressions as I went. So now 150 pages or about 20% I wanted to share my first thoughts. 

Climb Aboard - The Boundless by Kenneth Oppel

Somewhere inside me is still the little child that is absolutely in love with steam trains, so when I heard about a book with an adventure on a train I am usually very interested and The Boundless is no exception. A thrilling adventure with a traveling circus, cunning thief's, and the largest train the world, I enjoyed this book greatly. 

My Absolute Favorite Book Ever - A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

For my first post I wanted to share my absolute favorite book, the book I go back to when every other book just doesn't seem right, the book that no other book just seems to be able to top. A Darker Shade of Magic.
